Here is the schedule of upcoming online training classes for the month of May. If you’re new to REsearch, we strongly encourage you to attend the “Orientation” session on May 7. You may also be interested in our “Cloud CMA” session on May 18. Even if you’ve participated in a session before, it’s often a good idea to get a refresher. Our live trainers can answer your questions and help you get the most out of REsearch. Descriptions of each HIS webinar can be found here.

We are certain it will be worth your while to join us and your fellow members at one of these special member gatherings. But as icing on the cake, we will wrap things up with special giveaways! Of course, you must RSVP, and you must be present to win.

We look forward to this opportunity to meet with you, and hope you’ll be able to join us. Our events on Kauai and in Hilo were a great success, and space is limited. So please let us know you’re coming by emailing ryan@hawaiiinformation.com, and we’ll be sure to make the most of this valuable face-to-face time on the Big Island!

Scheduled Downtime on April 29

REsearch will be offline and unavailable for a few early morning hours this weekend in order to allow us to perform some required upgrades to our systems. This work is scheduled to take place beginning at 11 p.m. on Sunday, April 29, and will be completed by 7 a.m. on Monday, April 30. Please make sure you have completed your work and logged off from the system well before this maintenance window.

This downtime will affect all REsearch services, including both REsearch 5.0 and 4.5, TMK, prospect links, etc. All IDX should remain online, but will not be updated during this period.

We will be updating our database and underlying systems only, so you should not see any changes. If you have questions, or encounter any unexpected behavior in our system when it is restored on Monday, please do not hesitate to contact us by phone at (808) 599-4224 or (800) 628-3121 or via email to support@hawaiiinformation.com.

Our core team will be available early on Monday morning to respond to any critical issues. And if necessary, we will post the latest updates or known issues to the REsearch login page, Facebook, and Twitter.

We have been provided a limited window to make these changes, and we’ve scheduled this downtime to have the minimal impact on the majority of our users. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Thank you for your continued support!

Prospect Notices & Logins Updated

With most of our users making the switch to the cross-browser compatible version of REsearch, and with a steady stream of feedback and suggestions coming in, we’ve been able to focus on enhancements as well as bug fixes.

Among the many improvements this round, I wanted to let you know about updates we’ve made to email notifications, and a new feature that gives you the ability to log yourself out of a dropped session instead of having to wait or call Customer Support.

Prospect Match E-Mail Notifications

Prospect match notifications are the latest beneficiary of our ongoing redesign efforts.

REsearch can notify you, or your clients, when new properties are added that match specific criteria. It’s a useful feature, but we know the notification email was looking a little outdated. Our design team, working with feedback collected by customer support, was able to upgrade our prospect notification e-mail design from this:

REsearch Prospects Email - Old

To this:

REsearch Prospects Email - New

This is just one of the many components that will benefit from a design refresh, as we continue to build upon the significant look-and-feel updates delivered with REsearch 5.0. We know we have a long way to go, and we have big plans for many of our display and PDF print formats.

Better Login/Logout Session Control

Logout NowUsers sometimes see a ‘too many users’ error message when trying to log into REsearch, most often when trying to re-access the system after getting disconnected or finishing a previous work session without logging out. When REsearch thinks you are still using the system, you can be prevented from reconnecting.

Previously, you either had to wait for the previous session to expire, or called Customer Support to release it for you.

Now, if you see the ‘too many users’ error, you can click “Logout Now” to force the previous session closed, and then log in again.

We hope this new feature, introduced in addition to previous bug fixes addressing premature timeouts, will make it easier for you to quickly get back to work.

Mahalo!

As always, if you do experience unexpected behavior when using REsearch, try clearing your cache to make sure you’re seeing and using the latest code. Instructions on how to do this can be found here.

If something isn’t working for you or if you see a way that REsearch can be improved, please get in touch. Call (808) 599-4224 and select option one, or email support@hawaiiinformation.com.

Please say tuned for more improvements, and please don’t hesitate to share your own ideas and suggestions on ways to make REsearch better. We appreciate all the feedback we receive, as we share your overall goal of having a system that provides the tools you need to do your work, and helps you grow your business.
