We’re happy to announce another set of enhancements to REsearch, many of which come from your suggestions and feedback. We will be releasing improvements to REsearch this week that will help save time, add flexibility for contacts and the dashboard, and prepare everyone for new rules!
Auto-Fill ‘Block’ for New Listings
We’ve added ‘Block Number’ to the set of fields that are auto-filled from TMK data by default when entering a new listing. You will also be able to edit and change this auto-filled value. This enhancement should help save you time when entering listings for properties that have specific block or increment numbers!
‘Text’ Option for Preferred Communication Method
When entering or editing your contacts, you can now indicate that they prefer to be contacted via text message, in addition to the other options (Mail, Email, Phone). Just select ‘Text’ under ‘Preferred Communication’ in the ‘Primary’ tab of the ‘Contact Details’ screen.
License Number Displays
State real estate license numbers are often needed when filling out contracts, and proposed Hawaii Administrative Rules changes may soon require that license numbers also be displayed wherever real estate is advertised.
To help save time and to help members prepare for the pending rule change, we are adding license numbers to a number of formats and in other places in REsearch. You can now find license numbers included with the agent contact information shown in ‘Brochure’ and ‘Branding’ formats, with additional locations coming soon.
For more information on the proposed rule revisions, check out the February 2016 issue of the State of Hawaii Real Estate Commission Bulletin.
Optional Dashboard Refresh
The ‘Today’ section of the REsearch dashboard helps you keep your finger on the pulse of the MLS, displaying the latest listing activity and updating it every five minutes or with every visit to the dashboard.
We know how important it is to conserve data on mobile devices, however, and that automatic updates can be problematic when researching an item in the ‘Today’ list.
Now you have the ability to change your ‘Dashboard Refresh’ preferences from automatic updates to on demand. If set to ‘on demand,’ the section will be updated only when you click the ‘Refresh’ button. To make the change, just choose ‘Dashboard Refresh’ under the ‘Settings’ menu.
