October 2014 Training Schedule

Go To MeetingBelow is the schedule of upcoming online training classes for the month of October. If you’re new to REsearch, we strongly encourage you to attend an “Orientation” session on Oct. 6. Even if you’ve participated in a session before, it’s often a good idea to get a refresher. Our live trainers can answer your questions and help you get the most out of REsearch. Descriptions of each HIS webinar can be found here.

Instructions on how to register for online classes:
  • To register, please click on the applicable link located below the class. The link will then take you to the registration site.
  • Please complete all the required fields marked by a red asterisk (First Name, Last Name, Email Address, Phone, Organization AKA Office Name).
  • Click “Register Now” to complete the registration process. Once registered a confirmation email will be sent to your email address to confirm your registration along with a unique web ID number and instructions on how to login to the session on that day.
  • If you need login assistance, please feel free to contact our Customer/Technical Support team at 800-628-3121, press # and then 457.

Server Upgrade on Sept. 26

One of three REsearch servers (reserver2) will be offline for scheduled upgrades between midnight and 1 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 26, 2014. As the other two servers will be available and usage is low at that time, no significant impact on service is expected. However, if you happen to be logged into reserver2 during the upgrade window, you will be disconnected.

Logins are distributed across three servers to manage load for best performance. To determine which server you are using, check the address bar in your browser window.

REsearch Enhancements Coming Sept. 9

Next week we will be releasing the latest enhancements to REsearch, based on your valuable feedback. These changes are scheduled to take effect on Tuesday, Sept. 9.

Revised “Fees” Section

First, we have revised the “Fees” fields of the “Financial Details” section of the data input form. Some agents were inadvertently entering fees in the incorrect fields, so we made this change to better illustrate the difference between maintenance and HOA fees.

“Fees – Maintenance (Monthly)” will be moved into the first position, and renamed to “Monthly Fees – Condo Maint (AOAO).” And “Fees – Association (Monthly)” is now the second field, and renamed to “Monthly Fees – Homeowner’s Association (HOA).” The last field will be renamed to “Monthly Fees – Other (Dev, Resort, etc.).”

Added “MLS Mid Grid” Format

Secondly, we have brought back the “MLS Mid Grid” format, one of the few formats that were not originally moved over from REsearch 4.5. Many of you said you were logging into our old system to access this format, so we were happy to convert it for REsearch 5.

Limited Downtime

REsearch will be unavailable for no more than 15 minutes between midnight and 12:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 9. Notice will be posted on the login page providing at least 12 hours notice before the system is taken offline for this upgrade.

If you are going to be in Honolulu for the 2014 Hawaii Association of Realtors State Convention, we hope you have a successful event and enjoy your time on Oahu. And while the Ihilani is way out west, we want you to know we are still here for you.

If you’re coming in early on Wednesday, or looking for a spot closer to the airport to catch up on work before your flight home, you are welcome to visit with us in Iwilei, a stone’s throw from downtown Honolulu and less than 10 minutes from Honolulu International Airport.

We will have desk space, Wi-Fi, a copier, printer and fax machine… and of course coffee and refreshments as well. And our team would love the chance to get to know you better.

We are located in Dole Cannery, near downtown Honolulu (right off Nimitz Highway with a straight shot to the airport). There is ample parking in our hard-to-miss, nine-story yellow parking structure. Come across the bridge and up to the sixth floor, and make yourself at home!
