Got CE? 45 Days to Deadline

Seven Weekends Left

View NowReal estate agents must complete 20 hours of approved continuing education courses prior to submitting their license renewal applications, which are due November 30, 2014.

In addition to classes offered by your local boards (like KBR and HIR), this year there is a new CE option is available for busy agents: Abe Lee Seminars offers a full slate of classes as online videos. You can watch any time, in convenient 15-minute segments, and there is no test.

Core Part A and Core Part B are in high demand, and are required for good reason. These courses cover 24 and 21 real estate laws, respectively, that were passed by the state legislature just this past year. Are you up to date on laws covering back maintenance fees on foreclosed condos, security fees for pets versus service animals, green infrastructure loans, or medical marijuana?

With the holidays upon us, 45 days will pass in a flash. Don’t wait until time runs out, and remind your fellow agents! Sign up here!

REsearch Enhancements: Open House, Other Fixes

Thanks to your valuable feedback, we will be releasing another set of enhancements to REsearch next week. There will be a few minutes of scheduled downtime betweenmidnight and 1 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 15, in order to bring these improvements to you.

Simplified Open House Entry

As part of a larger plan to make open house listings more useful to both agents and consumers, we have made some minor changes to the Open House section of REsearch. We’re making it easier to add an open house from the main dashboard as well as the Calendar section, and removing the repeating (recurring) option.

Finally, we are adding the option to have your open houses publicized on external sites. This is only the first step, and we are still making other changes to support the public display and distribution of open houses. But we want to give you the opportunity to opt-in ahead of time so that your events are ready to go when the system is in place.

Tweaks and Fixes

A number of other, smaller changes will be implemented with this release, including:

  • Improvements to MLS grid printing and prospect notifications.
  • Fixes for CSV, TMK developer public report, and other downloads.
  • Design tweaks for dashboard links and open houses.

If you missed the last round of enhancements, see our previous announcement relating to the revised “Fees” section and the “MLS Mid Grid” format here.

Limited Downtime

REsearch will be unavailable for no more than 15 minutes between midnight and 12:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 15. Please try to finish your work and log off the system before then to ensure that no work is lost. Notice will be posted on the login page providing at least 12 hours notice before the system is taken offline for this upgrade.

Thank You!

We welcome your feedback and suggestions on ways to make REsearch better at any time. Please send us an email at feedback@hawaiiinformation.com.
